James is an architect and a champion of high quality architecture. With over 16 years experience, he leads Axiom's London office.
He has strong design and conceptual skills, and combines commercial and technical understanding to deliver projects through all RIBA Stages.
James' role within the London team is wide ranging, leading multiple projects from feasibility to practical completion.
He is currently leading 2x Hub by Premier Inn hotel projects in the City of London, a 400x bedroom hotel and a 700x unit student development both in hammersmith.
James regularly commentates on the built environment, and is chair of the 'New London Architecture Expert Panel for High Streets'. A panel set up with the built-environment leaders to contribute to the New London Agenda, and new mayoral candidate.
James is co-chair of the London Planning in Development forum. Set up in 1980, the forum meets quarterly to discuss planning and wider topics that shape and face London. The forum comprises local authorities, developers, house builders and consultants from the RIBA, RTPI, RICS and other professional bodies
He recently contributed to the All-Party Parliamentary Group 'Suburban Taskforce' by providing a thought leadership piece called 'A place to nowhere', a study exploring the spatial and qualitative conditions of London's suburbs:

Outside of work, James likes to keep fit cycling, spinning and running around after his two sons. When he gets the chance, he enjoys going to watch rugby, football or cricket.
