The brief was to maximise the amount of lettable office space within the existing building and to extend the building mass at high level.
Due to the tightly woven dense medieval street structure, and its location in a conservation area, a carefully considered massing and design solution for the new building was required. Lengthy negotiations took place with the City of London planning department as well as party wall and rights of light surveyors.
The result is a fully refurbished and extended 21st Century office building and now sits comfortably in the street scene, it offers our client high quality executive offices at the upper levels and four levels of top grade CAT A space below to let.
