Only 14 months from appointment to completion, this fast paced student housing renovation project involved the stripping out of an existing late Victorian mansion block, taking the building back to its structural elements, and the construction of new raised acoustic floors, partitions and building services throughout.
A bespoke interior design, harmoniously mixed the traditional with the contemporary. Original details within the building were reinterpreted in new elements, whilst modular furniture within student bedrooms were developed to maximise the functionality of the spaces and work within various configurations.
A series of elegant common areas were provided including a new reception, common room and library, with bespoke designs for furniture and signage throughout the building.
Given the tight timescales of the project, Axiom worked closely with the contractor and design team, working on site throughout construction to co-ordinate the works as they progressed.
