HNC Building Studies

Dave has over twenty-five years experience in property both personally and professionally starting at site level then as a qualified carpenter, he then proceeded to pursue a career in architecture so initially studied Computer aided design and went onto study at Brighton University obtaining an HNC in Building Studies. Having also studied interior and landscape design at Brighton College, he is well versed in finding solutions to many different applications in the Built Environment.

His architectural experience at Axiom spans a diverse range of projects from hotels, pubs, restaurants, retail, industrial and residential and has some experience in listed buildings. He uses collaborative, commercial approaches to provide solutions to both design and construction methods.

Recent assignments include fire remediation, collaborating with various parties from initial intrusive investigations, through to planning, design and on-site attendance and co-ordination to final handover resolving issues as they occur during the remediation process. He has also attended the RIBA's accredited Principal Designer course to further his knowledge and understanding of the principal designer's role.

In his spare time Dave is usually at the side of a rugby or football pitch supporting his two boys, or throughout the football season can be seen supporting Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.
