Conversion of Grade II listed hotel, maximising bedroom capacity and forming a new restaurant at basement level
pi_victoria1

Axiom Architects were commissioned to convert this existing Grade II listed hotel by maximising the bedroom capacity and forming a new restaurant at basement level.

Due to its placing within the conservation area and with English Heritage's involvement, we ensured that the proposals were sensitive to the original features and that any alterations made were in keeping.

The hotel successfully opened in time for Summer 2009 and with its high occupancy rates it proved a real success story that protected this building for many years to come.

Westminster Council and English Heritage were heavily involved to agree design details of how the existing building fabric might be affected by the works to ensure that the proposals were sensitive to the original features and that any alterations made were in keeping.

We provided bespoke details for each of the bedrooms types as well as the rest of the building and fit out work.
